WEEK 2 (STRATEGIES USED FOR SUCCESSFUL SEARCH)
There are several strategies that can be used to complete a successful search, including:
Keyword optimization: It is a process of researching, analyzing, and selecting the best keywords to target a website. Optimizing for keywords improves the search engines to drive more efficiently with high qualified traffic to the website. Increasing traffic for any page of the website depends upon good keyword optimization. Keyword optimization is important because it helps to select keywords that will lead to traffic growth and increment, leads and sales. Use relevant keywords in the search query to increase the chances of finding relevant results.
Boolean operators: Boolean operators are the words that are used to combine or exclude keywords in a search, which result in focused and productive output. Boolean Operators are simple words they are AND, OR, NOT.
AND – Provides results that contain both or all keywords. Eg: climate change AND ecosystem.
OR – OR will provide search results containing of your keywords. Eg: Agriculture OR Horticulture.
NOT – NOT will provide search results containing the first of keywords but not the second.
Phrase searching: IT is a easiest way and very effective way of narrowing search to documents on the topic. By applying quotation marks around two or more words, which will find the words together in the document instead of separately. Using quotation marks around a phrase to search for that exact phrase, rather than the individual words.
Wildcard searching: Wildcard searching is a process of an advanced search technique that can be used to maximize the search results in primary databases. These are used in search terms to represent one or more characters. Using a wildcard symbol, such as an asterisk, to represent one or more unknown characters in a search query.
Searching within a website: Using the “site:” operator to search for specific keywords within a specific website.
Searching by file type: Using the “filetype:” operator to search for specific file types, such as PDF or DOC.
Advanced search options: Using advanced search options such as date range, location, and language to further refine search results.
Use of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques increases the visibility of a website or webpage in a search engine’s unpaid results.
These are just a few examples of the many strategies that can be used to complete a successful search. The most effective strategy will depend on the specific search and the type of information being sought.

Answer
Physical American Psychological Association (APA) style includes parenthetical in-text citations and a reference list.
The in-text citation style used by APA is parenthetical citations. Before the period immediately after the material you are quoting, include a parenthetical citation. When directly quoting or borrowing from the source material, these citations just need to provide a page number and should correlate to a more thorough citation in the reference list. The author’s last name and the publication date are necessary components for this in-text reference. If the phrase explicitly specifies or indicates the original material, the final name may be removed.
A reference list, which appears at the conclusion of a book or paper and is an alphabetized list of all the sources cited, is the format used by the APA. The word “References” should be capitalized, and the list should be alphabetized starting with the first item in the citation, which is often the author’s last name. Your work must cite each source on this and vice versa.
BASIC FORMAT:
Book – Author Last Name, Author First Initial.
Print Articles – Author Last Name, Author First Initial, & Author Last Name, Author First Initial.
Electronic Articles – Author Last Name, Author First Initial.
Physical Images – Artist Last Name, Artist First Initial.
Electronic Images – Artist Last Name, Artist First Initial.
