Profiling
In the SLP for this course, you will be choosing a local legal jurisdiction to examine more closely (e.g., local police department, county sheriff, or even state police).
If you are a military member, you can choose your service to examine if you wish; however, keep your answers centered on your service. Do not expand to the federal government in general.
For this Module 1 SLP, discuss the jurisdiction you will be examining and then answer the following questions in a 2- to 3-page paper:
How is criminal profiling used in this jurisdiction?
In your opinion, Is criminal profiling used effectively by this jurisdiction? Use examples to support your position. For example, is crime increasing or decreasing in your jurisdiction?
