Do full financial statement analysis by choosing a company to analyze. Indicate which company you chose to analyze, why you chose it, and what your “pre-analysis” expectation of their financial condition is.
Perform the analysis on the company you chose. Keep in mind who the users of the financial statements are and what information those users need to understand. As you complete your analysis, indicate what each part of your analysis means to the users and whether the company would be a good purchase or loan candidate or not based on the various indicators. The final summary should be a big picture overview of their financial condition. There is no minimum word count or pages. Do what it takes to provide the necessary information and results to inform the users of that company’s financial statements – but remember to be thorough, yet concise! Complete your quantitative analysis in Excel and your qualitative analysis in Word.
