Option 1
Democracy is a system of government by a population through elected representatives. When we vote for an elected official, the majority vote chooses the winner (Greenberg 2018).
Egalitarian is based on individuals equally capable of their political rights and freedom regardless of social background. It also has a precondition of resources being equally distributed and individuals having equal access to power.
Democracy will make a country more egalitarian because it will allow indiviuals to have an equal position in the democratic process regardless wealth or rank. Everyone will have the same opportunities regardless of wealth.
I believe democracy requires equality of wealth. Wealth refers to net worth, with democracy social equality requires equal distribution of capital. With social equality the level of wealth appears to be the primary factory and income also plays a role in building democracy (Mijs 2021). Wealth is a long term asset and implies the promotion of democracy but you can not build equal wealth without equal income. To conclude, democracy require equality of wealth with is based equality of income.
