Human Resources business
This discussion thread will connect the Bible and God’s words and teachings on human resource development principles, including organizational needs assessment, employee stress management, and training. Human resources policies, processes, and interventions impact a business’s input and output. Planning, recruiting, and other administrative functions are part of human resource development
(Werner, 2022). HRD incorporates Old and New Testament concepts such as employee compensation, salary, health, and safety. “Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. In the book of Acts, “Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood” (Acts 20:28, NIV).
It is the responsibility of HR professionals to design courses that will aid in the expansion of the business. This department must concentrate on manager knowledge and skills. In this part, management abilities and competence should be prioritized. “He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young” (Isaiah 40:11, NIV). Managers are the backbone of an organization, and HRD professionals are responsible for ensuring their well-being. Human resource development courses equip workers with the knowledge and abilities to advance in their careers. Companies can benefit from establishing standards for their employees and the workplace grounded in biblical values.
Companies can benefit from establishing standards for their employees and the workplace grounded in biblical values. Many managers’ morals, ethics, and management styles are influenced by their religious and spiritual beliefs (Obregon et al., 2022). HR departments can benefit from spirituality and vital manager training while searching for new leaders. Human resource development managers employ needs assessments and process evaluation to identify what intervention is required and to evaluate the efficacy of interventions, not dissimilar from the process God uses during the week of creation. Human resource development (HRD) managers can assess the effectiveness of initiatives by conducting organizational needs assessments utilizing frameworks like Kirkpatrick’s (Werner, 2022).
An organization helping employees manage stress must understand what the scripture says about anxiety and stress “Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up” (Proverbs 12:25, NIV). Employees’ focus and productivity diminish when they’re stressed. Unmanaged stress can lead to hypertension, cancer, and other chronic diseases that distract employees from work (Eklund et al., 2021). Organizations can promote and help employees manage stress. Churches are one option in the community, regardless of size. They emphasize caring for and assisting their members and the community, making them a safe and reliable alternative to help employees needing assistance (Eklund et al., 2021). Churches can help organizations when employees are hurt, even if they don’t directly partner with them.
Conclusion
A successful Human Resources training strategy is essential to any business’s continued growth and prosperity. Similarly, the success of God’s people in learning how to live a life in Christ depends on preparing and delivering a sermon in the church. Therefore, conducting a needs analysis and ensuring that the HR training program aligns with the organization’s objectives before designing it is essential. The trainer of an HR training program needs to decide on a curriculum that makes the most of several learning approaches. In the same way that God cares for his people, HR professionals have a responsibility to care for their employees by ensuring that their workers comprehend the responsibilities of their jobs and has the skills necessary to fulfill those responsibilities. Human resource experts provide training to ensure every worker can do their job effectively. They also ensure the organization’s stated mission, goals, and objectives are achieved.

This course has many topics that relate to the Bible. In the first portion of our textbook, human resource development was explained. According to Werner (2022), human resource development is about ways that the human resource department can shape their employees making sure they can perform their best while staying motivated. Human resource development is making sure that others are considered with goal of bringing out their best. This topic reminded me of Hebrews 10:24-25, “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near” (English Standard Bible, 2016). Persons in management positions need to be able to meet with their employees in order to understand them and their roles to better develop training and other programs for them. Since the development of human resource programs, one must consider the internal influences on employee behavior.
One of the influences on the motivation of an employee is their attitude, which is not a direct motivation but can be used to predict the ones behavior. In a researched by van et al. (2020), it was found that employees with a connection to the organization have positive work engagement rather than when they do not have a connection. If we all live by the Bible and think alike when it comes to working together we would be following Philippians 2:5, “Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus” (English Standard Bible, 2016). The same way Jesus put others first we must think the same and make sure to think about others when at work. Helping each other in whatever is needed could make it less stressful for other employees, causing their attitude to change in a positive way and feel as if they are part of a team. When we think of helping one another we should also consider the coaching it takes from management in order to make sure employees are up to par.
Management is sometimes put in a difficult situations when policies and daily routines have to change in order to better serve their customers and making sure to share whatever knowledge is needed for their employees to perform their best. Change is uncomfortable for most but we must keep in mind Genesis 12, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you”. Leaders of all organizations should understand how we can assist others in embracing the changes and trusting the employers as Abram did with the Lord. Leaders should be able to embrace any changes as long as their faith is strong and values are good.
All topics from this course could relate to the Bible in one way or another. Human Resources deals with others and their needs, therefore we must have good values when it comes to employees. As long as we remember Romans 8:28, “ And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose”. If the human resource department is making development with moral values and to assist one another then things will work.
