In today’s business environment,projects are being assigned to employees in a variety of ways. Collaborative teams and group projects are just two of the methods. Since employers indicate they want people who can work effectively in groups, you may find yourself assigned to a team with people you have not worked with before. In order to accomplish the project, you are required to work effectively and efficiently with others who possess characteristics different from your own. Although it may be difficult at times to get all members of the team excited about the project, or committed to the task at hand, working in groups is a reality in the business community.
Groups have been formed in Canvas (see below Week 3). A discussion area for each group has been provided (Discussion Area for Group Presentation). Before you begin this discussion:

Find and respond to your group in the Group Presentation Discussion Area (Weeks 3-5)
Once you have read the project instructions and responded to your group, answer the following questions:
According to Chapter 3 in your textbook, what is a virtual team and what are the benefits/challenges to working in a virtual team?
Who are your group members? What is a strength you will bring to your group and the group project?
Do you see any reason why you would not be able to collaborate with your group to complete this assignment? What is one thing you will do to keep your team on task to deliver a great presentation by the assigned deadline?
