2. As you listen take notes to help you prepare your initial post, see the points below.
3. Initial Post :
· 1st paragraph – Summarize the podcast that you listened to by answering the following questions: Tell us about the guest; what was their journey, what is their psychological framework, what mindset skills and practices do they use.
How do they stay motivated? Face pain and suffering? Face failure?
· 2nd paragraph – Highlight 3 moments from the podcast that struck you, inspired you, challenged you, motivated you, etc. and recap the moment along with the time stamp, for example – “At minute 40 Tianna has this amazing insight when she talks about placing 4th at the Olympics and thinking everything she did was all for nothing and discovering that no, actually everything was in the hard work, prep, and training”
· 3rd paragraph – Connect these conversations with our discussions in the lecture. Make 2 connections, for example – “Brene’s upbringing helped instill in her the value of hard work and risk-taking that has served her well later on in life. She is a high achiever and even says “I don’t leap for the perfect landings but I leap for the feeling in the air” and this ties into her goal setting and ability to take risks and pursue success.”

“This conversation with David Goggins is real. This podcast is not for kids — it’s for adults — who want to understand toughness and authenticity. David is clear. Very clear. He lives in true alignment. He’s figured out who he is — and he lives accordingly. Period. The odds were stacked against David ever making anything of himself. He grew up in an abusive household, barely graduated high school, and struggled with serious health issues, to name just a few of the challenges David had to overcome. In spite of all of these obstacles, David never had a “woe is me” mentality. David is the only member of the U.S. Armed Forces to complete SEAL training (including two Hell Weeks), the U.S. Army Ranger School (where he graduated as Enlisted Honor Man), and Air Force tactical air controller training.”
Brene Brown –
