Give an overview of a multicultural book you have or would like to use in your classroom. Discuss why you think this book would enhance multicultural thinking.
The name of the book is “One Classroom many Cultures” by Elizabeth Massie. The book explains different cultures, holidays, food, language, and traditions. I love the way the book is illustrated and organized. You can clearly see each culture represented in a unique way. I think this book will enhance the multicultural thinking of my students by simply showing their traditions and cultures and language. We can talk about my student’s holidays and simply explore each other’s culture. They will be also able to explain their thought and what they think and what they liked. This book will show them that we are all different around the world and unique in our own way. They will be able to explore the cultures throughout the pictures that were illustrated by Jill Dubin. I enjoyed reading the explanation of each culture.
I’m attaching the website where you can enjoy of listening to the story.
