For this assignment, you will choose a peer-reviewed article related to a public health program evaluation and evidence-based management issue of your choice. Use the databases within the CSU Online Library, Google Scholar, or another reputable academic source that contains peer-reviewed articles. The purpose of this assignment is for you to practice reviewing public health articles that contribute to public health policy and management. The authors of these articles are researchers and professionals who have shared or experimented with ideas that demonstrate the potential to improve public health practice. As a professional in the industry, it is in your best interest to review the literature for past and current public health events, as well as evaluate proposed public health measures reviewed in such academic writings.The article you choose must meet the following requirements:
- be a peer-reviewed, academic article,
- be related to the concepts of public health program evaluation and evidence-based management, and
- be recent (within the last 10 years).
The writing you submit must address the following tasks.
- Provide a summary of the article.
- Analyze the main public health issue or trend in the article, and provide an overview of the problem as well as the suggested outcomes and measures to the problem (Make sure this includes a distinct discussion regarding the importance of public health evaluation and the evidence-based information related to the outcomes of the study/program being evaluated).
- Identify the author’s intended audience and focus if they were able to distinguish between public health program evaluation and research.
Your review should be at least two full pages in length and double-spaced (this does not include the title and reference pages).
