The elements of an APA manuscript include a title page, an abstract, a main body, references, tables, and figures. For editing purposes, tables and figures should be placed at the end of the manuscript. Each table should be given on a separate page following the references (Privitera, 2018). These are inserted into the main body of the finished manuscript upon publication. Each table should include notes. Subsequently, figures should be placed on separate pages. Figures are also added to the main body for publication of the manuscript. Tables and figures help the reader visualize and understand what the author is intending to depict.
Writing a manuscript for publication is one of the three key methods of communication among scientists (Privitera, 2018). To be considered for a peer review journal, typically, APA style is required. Not only the elements of the manuscript should be present, but there should also be a high level of professionalism. APA has four general writing guidelines that help the author achieve the consideration for a peer reviewed manuscript. The first is Be Accurate. This is important as it reflects the credibility of the author (Privitera, 2018). The entire document should be accurate, including spelling and grammar. The second is Be Comprehensive, yet Concise. Comprehensive means that there is enough information in the report that the reader can critically evaluate the contribution and the document fully discloses the procedures that were used and identifies the hypotheses tested and the reasons it was important (Privitera, 2018). The third is Be Conservative. Being realistic, not generalizing claims beyond the data and not overstating conclusions. And finally, Be Appropriate. Appropriate and unbiased language are required as to not offend those reading the work or those who participants in the work.

Using tables and figures can enhance the understanding and reading of a manuscript that can supplement the article. However, it shouldn’t duplicate what has been written but visually display the relationship between data. They should also be labeled for easy reference and can stand alone from the text. Tables and figures should be referenced in the text using their table number. The table and figures can be placed throughout the text on the left margin after the text or at the end of the manuscript on one page (Caulfield, 2022).
The four writing guidelines are a title page, abstract, main text, and references. Additionally, indentation on the first sentence starting a paragraph, double spaced, 12 font in Times New Roman are also portions of the writing guidelines.
APA style keeps writings uniform, and consistency keeps the paper idea organized and fluid (American Psychological Association, 2020).

Publication credit is giving the authors who contributed the much needed credit they deserve and should be done as early as possible. Anyone who contributed should be recognized and this also allows the reader to know who the contributors are and determine if they are reliable (Privitera, 2020). The APA suggest this be done as early as possible in the process so that it lessens the argument amongst contributors of who did “more” or “less” of the work. Many times the contributors contribute to different parts of the process so determining who put in more work is difficult. If each contributor discusses their part early it takes away some of the animosity amongst the group because they were able to explain in detail their contribution (Privitera, 2020).
A poster is a description of the research using text boxes, figures and tables. A poster does not have any specific APA guidelines to follow but there are some suggestions to follow. Some of the suggestions are; keeping the title short, consistent font, eye catching color but not enough to distract the reader, place each box in logical order and make it quick and easy to read (Privitera, 2020).
