Critical Thought Papers (CT)
The papers will be 1300-1400 words in length, single-spaced, 12-point font, 1”
margins, no heading. I only want your name at the top and nothing else.
These papers will include your thoughts on the assigned reading. There is no

Reading 2 summary
The American Drug Science book talks about psychoactive drug use in the United States which
are continuously shifting and changing. In the 1930s people were using Marijuana followed by
Heroin in the 1950s. LSD and marijuana in the 1960s. In the 1970s amphetamines, other
prescription drugs, and powder cocaine were very popular. In the 1980s, the crack epidemic
was popular. Nowadays, there is a misuse of prescription drugs and new psychoactive drugs.
